What is the CAP Money course?

Cedarview provides the Money Course developed by Christians Against Poverty to both attendees of Cedarview and the surrounding community free of charge. It is comprised of three – two hour sessions, held over a three week period. Attendees receive free access to a confidential website where they can build a personalized budget, which can be modified as life events change over the coming years. In addition they are provided with a workbook that is used throughout the sessions, and are provided with contact to  Money Coaches for further conversations and support. Whether a Christian or not, it is essential to understand and practice the principles of managing finances in an ever increasing world of personal debt, and economic volatility.

The course is designed to be helpful to couples, young adults, retirees and entire families. It is conversation based, providing practical tools (friendly and informative) and effectively enables someone to determine where they stand in regards to controlling their finances. The content of the course truly engages people to “examine their hearts” and to make life changing decisions to use wisely the resources God has provided to them.
